Ferry Meadows

Ferry Meadows is the ideal place for a family day out and one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated less than three miles from Peterborough city centre, at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it the favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year.

    Wyndham's near silent-motor means that she is the ideal craft for wildlife watching.  Join us on a trip around Overton Lake and along the River Nene where swans, geese and other water fowl will glide alongside the boat with you.  We cannot guarantee what you will see but wildlife highlights may include Herons, Kingfishers and the elusive Otter! We will look at the different species found in and around Ferry Meadows and the wider area. Help you to identify the different birds you may see.   • Growing our family groups at Ferry Meadows

    We're delighted to share that our popular monthly family groups are growing in May, and relocating to the dedicated Forest School site at Lynch Farm in Ferry Meadows. Moving our family groups to Lynch Farm will give even more local children the space to learn through exploring, play and hands-on experiences in the great outdoors, whilst most importantly, having lots of fun!   • First Festival Acts Announced

    As planning continues for Peterborough Celebrates Festival - the region’s biggest FREE family festival - the first performance acts are now confirmed: Three female acrobats, a giant balloon spectacle, a dog show with a difference and a comedy giant slug will all be wowing festival-goers across the weekend of 18th-19th May.
